After some strange thinking along these lines, perhaps a variation or reverse
timeline from the "Camber" and "Kelsyn" books. They have a LOT to do
with
Magic and the Church (more catholic than christian IMO). Really good reads
too. I won't go into details, because those details are enormous. But, when
I look back on it, and compare it to the current thread here, I keep making
direct relationships as far as how people within the church structure would
possibly react, what actions they'd take to secure their power, and how others
might react to those with "Magic" where magic is outlawed.
