There I was, peacefully reading the shadowrn list, and I come upon

You did? That's interesting... I contacted my postmaster, and she says
that no such letter arrived at our node. *shrug* In any case, I regret to
say that the lack of response to my query was disheartening, so I was forced
to cancel plans of a game this semester. I regret if you did not receive any
notification to that effect.

That's terribly amusing, considering I don't even run a campaign. I do
sincerely regret any torture I put you through by forcing you to write up
a character for my ill-fortuned campaign. I am, furthermore, truly sorry
that my notification did not seem to get through to some of you. Perhaps
next time, we will have more luck.
