If you want caseless ammo listen to this. The US Army is working on a field
piece that uses a liquid propellant. You load the round, close the breech
and then fuel injectors squirt the propellant into the chamber. The amount
of liquid propellant used is variable, based on the range, the round, etc.
Now stick this on a handgun. You would not need a variable charge. But you
might be able to increase the number of bullets the gun could hold.
