I think the same qoute was in SR2 also (if not SR1 as well)
no modifiers (besides role-playing of course) until FoF came out. I guess
they figured adding the FoF rules into the BBB would not be useful, but left
the comment in from teh previous editions.
So, if you want the "standard caseless" from teh BBB, it costs the same, it
works the same, it is just as big as cased. Of course, if you have a .45
caliber cased round, it does not add width to the round (besides maybe .01 of
an inch, or therabouts) so what benefit would caselss have?
(Rifles otoh, have necked cases, so it changes them slightly by decreasing
the diameter of the propellant)
