There is an idea that I have been trying to implement for a while, but limit
the knowledge. It arose from a run, what happened was that we have a
communications person radio+commlink+toys. What occurred was that during a
run he picked up a transmission that made no sence to him, so he patched it
through to my character, simple radio and comm-link. The problem was that
the frequency was changing so thats why I did not have a direct link,
anyway, I managed to ID it as the feed from a drone, not having the hardware
to decryt it there and then (namely a e. deck and all). I patched the signal
through my deck and piped it through to a rigger buddy at the other end of
the continent who decrypted it and piped it back. Oh and yes, I paid a
little extra to have all my cyber linked, ie the radio was linked to my
datajack and SPU.

Anyway to cut a long story short, this gave me an idea, if I can get the
bandwidth through a cell network then I could have a rigger control a
vehical from even another continent. Satellites are no good because of the
delay, and personally I require something a little less noticable than a
radio with a flux rating of godhood.

I was working on the idea that for the Simsence channel that
Body + Sensors x 3 MP should be enough

for the command channel, Body + 1 MP, alternatively 10 - autopilot+Body MP
and for the system

As for the system, I have not a clue, probably a default of 5 Mp or so.

Of course when I had this in mind I was thinking of only 1 vehical under
control at a time. However, it would require a cell network to be used.

One small thing you mayhave missed isthat each "channel" is just that.
It requires its own allocation of space in something like a comlink,
going from the "snakeyes" system, and thats not real rigger stuff- its
probaly a stripped down version of a real rigger interface.

Not to say its impossible to run a rig over "bandwidth". OTOH, cell
phones have ZERO bandwidth- you can't use them as a jackpoint. But you
could porabably hook your broadcaster to the matrix, or "hijack" one,
and run rigger protocals from a remote location, by having a decker do
some nice comcall routing and slave control stuff. You'd basically be
using the matrix to transfer info between "repeaters", like the one in
the Gm-Ford RetransUnit. I'm not sure how much band width that would
consume- Corporate security might give some clues. It wont much matter,
as itsthe DECKER who is risking the trace.

If you want to go over phones, I'd impose some penatlies (+2) to all
tests, reduce intiative 1 die and reaction by 2, and require 3
cellphones (or comlink channels). Thats due to degraded signal quality,
router induced lag, dropped packets, etc. The equipment recieving the
phone signals would aslo be custom built, but thats not to hard an
electronics task.
