I can't believe I've been actually doing the "Mana" combat spells
all wrong for SO many years (I blame my previous GM for telling ME that's
how those worked and never really looked back)! To my understanding now
is spell such as Manabolt (which was deadly enough already when I thought
it did S Stun damage) ACTUALLY does S Physical againsts one's Willpower.
That's just brutal - watch all my Troll Street Sammies get dusted with a
spell-tosser with a Force 6 Manabolt spell! And no real drain whatsoever,
ie. (F/2)S with a high Willpower and a good number of Magic Pool dice left
over. At least my one player will be happy that I'll be letting him do
physical damage for all his "Mana" spells.

I was actually running a campaign in San Francisco (but it's on
summer hiatus till next semester) and I want to know if the California
Free State Sourcebook has more detailed information on the city. I HAVE
been using T.N-A's.G to North America and it seems a little outdated seing
is that my players are on April 2058 (and maybe I'm getting way ahead of
myself - I don't even know the results of the UCAS elections of 2057
detailed in that respective sourcebook). Any significant events in the
CFS I should be QUITE aware of? Don't EVER have the money to keep up with
the sourcebboks, modules, novels, etc.

Well, if you do decide to drop any money at all on sourcebooks, and your
campaign is still based in SF, it'd be a good idea to pick up the CFS book.
It is REALLY well done, with tons of information on the whole state (as well
as a great deal about SF). CFS foolows FASA's trend of outstanding
sourcebooks and you won't be disappointed.

*waits patiently for hand-outs from FASA for promoting their toys* ;)
