Hi everyone,

mostly done with the preview! <sigh>
Now I just need somewhere to put it on. Can anyone provide me with an
ftp-account, where i can put it, so that listmembers can get hold of
the program? (The main archive without accompaning DLLs and OCXs is
about 700kbyte, with all DLLs and OCXs about 2 MByte)

Bye Mike

You might try talking to Paolo. I'd volunteer my account, but I don't
have that much space left in it...I think I could borrow some space
somewhere else but I'll have to look into that...

Would be nice...

Perhaps FASA has some space left?

Sounds interesting. What are the system requirements needed to run it?

Still the same as with my first announcement:
- Windows 95 or Windows NT (tested only 4.0)
If enough Windows 3.X users are complaining I will try to make
something for Win 3.X (problem is, that I de-installed it quite a
while ago..:-)
- lots of memory (either physical or virtual)
Currently it takes about 11 MByte when running, but I am working on
a more conservative version, which will run slower but use much
less memory.
- Display is no problem: all screens are made to fit on 640x480
screens (so you can use it on laptops)

AAARGH! Bluegh... Spit... Hack hack hack....

Win95=Memory/memory/memory and no efficiency....

How do make a pentium run at the same speed as a 486? Win95.

|- lots of memory (either physical or virtual)

I rest my case....

Why? 11Megs is an Obscene amount of memory even for a really complex
application like PageMaker or PhotoShop....

What does it need all this memory for?????

I could do something similar that only used 100K....
(If I put my mind to it....)

<plea>Spike, please don't turn this into ANOTHER round of
MS-bashing.</plea>

That got me wondering too... Does it load all the equipment data into
memory or something, using a data format like MS Jet?

It better be ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL.....other wise I'd suggest a more economical
programming style.

~Tim (who's maybe just annoyed that it won't run on _his_ system).
