OK. I want to create a Character who is a Chaos Mage
who has a magical tradition for each Ancestry:
Caucasian (German Jewish, Irish, German Gentile,
British, Czech, Slovak, Welsh, Scottish), Amerindian
(Cherokee), Black (African-American [Nigerian]).

Now, I would like to use the Pantheist Rules in Magic
in the Shadows as follows:

MAGIC: Full Magician. Tradition:
English Hermetic Druidic Magic
Welsh Celtic Shamanic Druidic Magic [Sun Druid]:
Anywhere under the open sky. +2 Combat Spells; +2
Conjure any spirit while in direct sunlight. +2
Conjuring Target Numbers at night.
Scottish Celtic Shamanic Druidic Magic [Oak Druid]:
Forest. +2 Health Spells; +2 Forest Spirits
Romany Gypsy Magic [Dragonslayer]: Anywhere on land.
+3 Combat Spells; +1 Hearth Spirits. -1 Illusion
Spells.
Cherokee Shamanic Magic [Dog Shaman]: Urban. +2
detection, +2 for field and hearth spirits
Germanic Magic [Wise Warrior]: Urban. +2 for combat
and detection spells, +2 to resist all damaging
spells; -1 for illusion spells
Qabbalistic Hermetic Magic.
African Shamanic Magic [Falcon {Oyoko} Shaman]:
Mountains. +2 for detection spells, +2 for spirits of
the sky. X2 Essence loss for cyberware.
Irish Path of the Bard
+1 Manipulation Spell Die During Summer
+1 Manipulation Spell Die W/in 72 Hours of Lugnasad
(Aug 1st)
+1 Manipulation Spell Die W/in the province of
Munster
+1 Manipulation Spell Die when standing w/in 4
meters and LOS of a fire of at least campfire size.
-1 die for health spells.

Advantages: +2 Dice for Combat and Detection Spells,
+2 Dice for Hearth Spirits
Disadvantages: -2 Dice for Illusion Spells

Is this OK? And he'd get a new advantage each lunar
cycle ... does he AUTOMATICALLY get one? Or is there
some other rule I need to apply?

Thanks,
Scott

I don't know about the feasibility of this in the game's story, but
isn't that going a bit overboard?

Having all that at the same time, besides being unbalanced, would be a
bookkeeping nightmare. Personally, I always read "Chaos Mage" as "guy
who uses hermetic rules combined with some post-modern fluff".

That's what I suggest you do: use standard hermetic magic rules and
say this character draws bits and pieces from all those traditions.
You don't get the bonus for a certain tradition just because one of
your ancestors belonged to the people it originated from.
