Hmm, as I haven't been able to find a copy of the FAQ for ShadowTK, I was
wondering if anyone would mind an Elven Otaku? he'll play little bit parts,
maybe taking small, open decking contracts, that benefit humanity (Depends
on your point of view eh? <G>). He'll also show up around Haven (If they'll
let me) for the self defense classes, since what's going on right now seems
to provide a good reason for a young, gawky, and slightly clumsy elf to
learn atleast a smattering of self-defense. Besides, he'd be more likely to
shoot himself in the foot at this point in his life....

If you want more background info on him, let me know...

This should be posted to Plot-D, not ShadowRN. Does anyonoe have the
subscription stuff handy? I haven't been on Plot-d for a mooks age. (Ut Oh.
Who started me saying that word?)

Well, first of all, you should be asking this question over on Plot-D,
which is the mailing list (subscribe just like the other lists, but to
plotd) for discussion of plot elements and the like for ShadowTK.

Second, many of us are quite tired of otaku and other superkids kicking old
veteran's hoopholes. This doesn't mean you aren't allowed to run an otaku,
it just means you should tread carefully.

Third, an otaku is supposed to be very odd in the head and fond of the
"warezdoodz" type of slang. If you can RP him right, and don't make him a
superdecker, you should be fine with it.

But make sure you get on Plot-D first and ask your question there; not
everyone on TK also subs to RN.

Erik J.

PS: I don't know if you have, but the best advice I can give a newbie to TK
is to lurk for a few weeks at least to see how it's done and what sort of
plots are going on. A few weeks should give you a good feeling how things
operate over there; it's got it's own rules, that's for sure.

It is the same as for shadowrn as it is for shadowtk and plot-d. After the
word "subscribe", the list name is entered.

Gosh, and his question was so memory stirring...

What the hell is a mooks age? Is this some strange Canadian slang, like
tooks or something eh?

Oh bugger off... ;-)

To give you a quick glance at what TK is doing, just think massive
bloodshed. Certain plot elements are finally being kicked into high gear
and today there have been more than 50 innocents killed, probably closer to
75 people dead. And I know dozens more will be killed tomorrow.

We're not talking epic, nuclear scale events yet, but the death-o-meter is
much higher than normal.

Like I said, massive bloodshed. Not a place for children or the faint of
heart...

Even the goody-two-shoes types are a bit cowed by the entire thing. Now
*that's* brutallity.

It's spelled "toque". English sucks sometimes... No idea what a

So is ShadowTK loosely following the FASA story line, or is this
some other bloodbath?

Took, toque, whatever. I just know if you say "Hey, forgot you toque, eh?"
I occassionaly get people coming back at me with laughter and saying "No
way you hoser!"

This is another bloodbath. Major league racist nastiness. Those 50 deaths
I mentioned? Two school buses of children.

I have to say though the conversation and in-character comments have been
quite interesting recently.

But TK will be following loosely the Blood in the Boardroom plot. Myself
and a few other people will also do some plots and stories that go along
with it.
