Well, yes. You don't have to use all of the stuff they publish, and
if you can give both game-balance and tangible reasons for something not
to exist and don't want it in your game, then don't use it.
I agree that the Reverend's proposal for cyberconjurors was harsh, and concur
whole-heartedly with whoever brought up the Banishment contest. As to a
double screw on Charisma affecting both the target number & number of dice
on Spirit drain, I don't think it's so bad. Nonetheless, subbing Magic
Rating or even Willpower for Charisma in such a test isn't a bad idea.
As for cyber or bioware enhanced charisma attributes affecting TNs for
spirit summong, someone (you know who you are) I believe did that and was
able to summon Force 10 spirits with little difficulty (I could be wrong,
those enhancements could have been raised attributes & magic). But I vote
NO on tech help in magic.
