You should be able to track down a printable map from places like Yahoo.com.

Amazon.com should sell maps. Rand McNally makes some good atlases. I
don't know how much that would cost down there, but the maps are bound to be
more legible than those you find on the web. If you wnat to save on
shipping, you can probabaly find CD's with maps on them, or mybe even
somewhere that will let you download hi-res maps (like download.com).
Places lik Encartia give you maps, but the maps are totally scematic. On
the other hand, not many maps will give you any idea of what an area looks
like, for example. I'd try and get some satalite photo's, which can be
downloaded (though I'm not sure where). Hmm- fun idea- modify satalite
photo's to look like Chicago after the Sears tower bombing, then the blast
and CZ...

I hate to actually recommend a MS product,.. but their map
program is actually pretty good. A co-worker has it. There are
several of these, and I don't remember the actual name of the
Microsoft product, but City Streets comes to mind. Something
like that.

OK, try this URL.. http://terraserver.microsoft.com/default.asp This
is Sat Map info from Soviet as well as US Satellite Mapping as far as
I can tell. It is useful, and a has a search engine to look for
specific sites. It will bring up Street maps as well...Play around, it
may or mayn't be what you need. :-)

The last time I was toying around with terraserver, it had a database full
of pictures over 2 years old. They are vague, and are no match for a tourist
city map, if you ask me.

I didn't actually play too much with it, I thought it may be some use
to someone, but if not, I stand corrected.

And thus did Darrell L. Bowman on 18 Jul 99, at 15:03 speak:

And if you want to have some fun while using the map buy the game
Midtown Madness from MS. It allows you to drive and race through
downtown Chicago for a first person perspective. The pedestrians are
all adepts or cybered to the max since there's no frigging way you
can hit them :).
