This movie generally sucked (IMHO) but whether it was accurate or not, the
style looked very cool, and ever since that movie came out, it seems there
is always a character in my game with a concentration in it.

Anyway, my point is this:
If it looked cool in the movies, and a player wants to use it like it was
in a movie (or any other form of media) then I usually let them in some
form...that goes with just about anything as I like to run a very cinematic
game (lots of two-pistoleers courtesy of John Woo)

Out of curiosity, how many would consider their games "realistic" and how
many "cinematic?"

Mine's as realistic as I can get it, my co-GMs make it more
cinematic when I'm the player (I still say attacking two lines of
20 gangers each while standing on the back of your Yamaha Rapier going 50m
/ turn is going to have higher TNs than 4, and the player on the Yamaha
isn't going to take 30 of the fourty gangers out in one turn. I need to
have a serious chat with my co-GM... I was not the player in this
instance, BTW.)

While I prefer cinematic, I don't get *quite* that cinematic. Not usually.
However, I do tend toward the level you see in Tarantino or Woo movies. I
like *some* leeway.

Earthdawn games tend to go more towards Chambarra...I wonder why that is...

Definitely cinematic here as well. Although I try to make it as
realistic as possible as both a GM and a player (hint: most people, when
faced with a 30-meter Lovecraftian tentacle monster WILL pee themselves.
So will characters who come within centimeters of being crushed by a
3-ton block of granite)
