I can safely say that I am stunned.

http://tiger.census.gov/cgi-bin/

Provides locations within the United States. Possibly elsewhere.

As a test to see what this site was capable of, I asked it for Seattle,
and then asked for other information regarding sites within Seattle.
The level of detail provided by this site regarding maps etc is
stunning.

I will probably be logged in for the next week, nosing around. For
anyone that requires maps of cities this site is *highly* recommended.

I must admit, that after I'd checked most of the options, and set thzoom
level, I sat in front of the monitor with my chin on the desk - stunned.

Thought someone else on here might appreciate the site.

Hope it's helpful.

OK, try copying and pasting the above, that is the complete readout
provided by my software, and provides the complete route and path to the
location in question. Sorry Loki, but I tried it again, and got
straight there. Anyway, the above URL is complete in it's entirety, it
should paste quite happily into either Netscape or MSIE3. Let me know
if you finally get there. 8-) Not sure how deep into the site the
above will take you, coz I can't remeber where I was when I bookmarked
it, but it's easy enough to burrow out if you're in too deep.

I did the suggested cut&paste and got there fine [although
it was Washington DC.] <shrug>. It was a simple matter to move to Seattle.
Great stuff, although I didn't have time to do much zooming in
it looks like a great resource. Terry

DC huh? OK, I'll believe anything, funny though - I could've sworn I
was in Seattle, never mind, just goes to show how easy it is to fool
some of us Brits. :-)

Glad to be of help.
