The game you're referring to is called Clay-O-Rama, and you're right, it
was originally printed in Dragon somewhere around #160?
There was also a supplement about 2 years later that introduced new powers
like the awesome Devour Opponent!
For those coming to Neovention this weekend, there IS a HUGE Clay-O-Rama
tournament game planned!!!
I've registered, and would encourage anyone to check this game out.
It's cheap, fun and a great distraction when the GM has a bad case of
Brainlock.
