I would like to know if anyone knows if cones are possible in shadowrun.
I mean not grown in a tube at the age of 25 or 40.
I mean a clone babies born from a mother.
Is it possible?
I watched the discovery channel on clones and the Mammoth.
Is it possible to do something close to that in Shadowrun.
I was thinking of making a run based on this technology.
Any help on this is wanted and asked.

Fully functioning clones? No, not per se.

Clones, a la Dolly the cloned sheep (cloned in the method you appear to be
describing)? Yeah, I reckon that's possible, and perhaps even common,
unless some of that info and technology was lost in the Crash of '29.

I remember some [munckinous] character I saw on the web
somewhere who apparently was cloned from Nadja Davier. While
such a history is unlikely, I bet that there are a few clones of
wealthy/beautiful people running around. I also imagine that a
black market exist that will sell cells from famous people for this
purpose.
And where there's a demand...

Alternately, this could make for any number of interesting
(disturbing?) runs:

1) "Hey, this guy we're supposed to knock off looks just like me..."
2) Get a biosample, but not for ritual sorcery this time...
3) Get a biosample from _any_ mage/elf/human (whatever the
parents desire)

etc, etc.

Sure... All you need to make one is a sheet of something that you can roll
up in such a way that it has a point at one end :)

Artificial twins, in other words? IMHO, sure. After all, we've already got
Dolly and several other cloned animals, so by then cloning humans this way
is probably easily possible.

That's not to say it will actually happen a lot, though.

In what way do you want to base a run on it? PCs breaking in to steal it?
PCs coming across cloned people? ("Hey, there's that guy's twin. And
another one! And another! And ...") Something else entirely?

It's possible right now. Legal? No. Possible? Yes. But
does that really matter when you're running the shadows?
