I'm not sure if anyone is familiar with Remington's E-Tronix system, but
it falls in line with how I thought the bullets should interact.
(Electronic ignition is nothing new of course, and this topic isn't
either :-)

So, the primer is replaced with an electrical conductor. You simply build
a small datachip like unit into it. The bullet seats against the breech
face, the gun reads the info off the case. Fully programmable for
re-loaders to customize.
