Well, that "medical" help only really comes to cetain types of medical
lazers.
I don'tseewhy the wound wouldbemore sealed or disinfected thana bullet
wound-
infection rarely comes from the bullet itself.

A combat lazer wound would be NASTY- the lazer would vaporize an
internal chanell,
and the steam would expand at hypersonic velocity, almost like an
internal explosion.
The effect wouldbe at least as nastyas hydrostatic shock. I think that
would bleed
(internally, at least),be plenty painful, and have a decentchance of
eventual sepsis,
like a puncture wound.

(ROTFL). Sedation? NO.
I've got both. Brands are done with low-cherry red hot stainless
steal, usually. Silver
is to poor at storing thermal energy, and can cause allergic reaction.
Brands hurt, but not unbearably.
As for sedation- It's not needed- if it is, you should re-think
getting the brand or piercing.
It's not that you need a HIGH pain tolerance. It's just that there wil
be SOME pain, and you have to be mentally prepared to accept it, relax,
and not flinch so much as to make the job take longer and hurt more. I
am bad at recieving tatoos because eventually I start to flich, but 5
seconds of pain is no sweat to me if I know it won't last.
To bring this back on topic, the pain from a combat lazer wound
would likely last because there would be dirutped tissue, secondary
burns from steam, and a really, really nasty smell. Shock could be an
issue as well, depending on wound volume. A lazer wound would likely be
not just a hole, but a chanel created as the lazer moves duringits on
cycle, or multiple holes from rapid pulsing. The MP lazer probably
does't have a long enough duty cycle to be used "full auto" and cut
somebody in half, but that doesn't mean it can't stay on for .1 sec per
shot. At about 2 shots per sec, thats a 20% duty cycle, a good minimum
for any durable device.
