Many seem to forget that a conjuror's Magic Rating is used in control
and banishing tests. It's the target number the spirit rolls against to
resist the mage. When the spirit scores a net success in the fight, a
number that parallels the mage's Magic Rating drops. When it reaches
zero, the mage goes comatose.

Also, people seem to forget that legacy provided by the Grimoire:
GEASA. The Conjurer Adept can still afford to drop some Essence, but
2 points and ZAP a Geas. Lotsafun.

If your smartarse player decides to stick with the geas, make it near
impossible for him to use his Magic Super Powers on varying occasions.

Nasty nasty now.

Well Geasa are an optional rule, and I personally dont enforce it as
I think that its far too hard on the magicians.

Hey, never it's too hard on the magicians. Beware of them when
they get really GOOD!

Sheesh. Bash the mage round 317! *ding*

Game balance is an unattainable abstract. Accept it and move on.
