get inside the head of this person they are playing, my first suggestion is,
Consider what you, as the character, had for breakfast. It never fails to
stimulate them if they're serious.
Take Bob and his Decker, Brian.
BOB: What do you mean?
GM: Well, is he a caffine head, like a lot of people invision the hacker/ decker
sterotype?
Bob: <moments thought> No. In fact, he's very concerned about the health of his
body. Logger it lasts, longer he can deck. Fruit for breakfast, I think.
GM: So is he a vegitarian?
Brian (and I could _tell_ the shift): No, I combine food. Usually have some food
in my gear-- Stuffer Shack and the like aren't that friendly to his eating
habits.
GM: Okay. so you know what that means?
Bob: Yeah. I've read a few books on it.
Brian: I don't eat protiens and starches together, avoid most dairy products--
not really a problem, is it?
GM: You've got a high lifestyle, you can have them if you wanted.
Brian: Just butter. Pure fat. Hate pizza-- ill combined.
>From there, you spiral out. His eating habits effect where Brian hangs out--
ended up developing a wonderous little vegan dinner hidden away in Toronto's
Markham district for him. It also, for serveral reasons, led to him and the
team's main fixer getting involved and eventually married... but that's another
story.
