DEAR GOD MAN!!
Do you realize what you're saying!
If VCR designers switched to a 24 clock the electronics industry would
rumble to a halt!

Statistics show (no kidding) that 85% of all VCR owners cannot set the
clock.

If they switch to a 24 hour system, that number would most likely GO UP!
After working the Christmas season selling reatil electronics I can assure
you that the LAST thing this world needs is a NEW clock system on VCR's!
:-)

BTW, to stay SR related, we ARE currently acheiving the digital media
revolution in the consumer elcetronics field.
Pocket sized digital camcorders, ala. Shadowbeat are a REALITY!
JVC just released a consumer model digi-cam that weighs less than two
pounds, fits easily in a shirt pocket, and just clocks in at a reasonable
$2500 price tag.

With HDTV and DVD on the horizon, we may soon be living with some of the
high tech gear that even five years ago was sceince fiction to the mass
market.

But it is set right? :)
I would run over to the UK and stock up on 24 hour VCR's, but they don't
work right with american/canadian TV's either. Now that I've established
that my plan for a 24 hour VCR clock is smashed forever, I think I'll go
back to configging this bot. Finally somebody ported Eggdrop over to Win95
:) I'm in heaven! (If you don't know what an Eggdrop is, don't ask:)

Puhleeze....
I'm a computer science and electronic engineering student....

Of course it's set right....

(Ask my sister or mum to set it and it'd be like asking them to repair a
nuclear power station however....)

Eggdrops are a type of IRC bot, originally designed for Linux/Unix and its
million variants. They run on a shell account and hold your IRC channel
24/7, and do other fun stuff :) As you probably know, I don't have a
shell, so I couldn't run one...until now! Its kinda lame, being on my 14.4
PPP connect and all, but still fun to tinker with. Much better than the
other IRC bot I was *cough*cough*trying*cough*cough* to script.
