In a previous question, Steve Kenson said that spirits
are living beings and thus able to be affected by
control manipulation spells. Could you cast control
thoughts on a free spirit to have it tell the magician
it's true name?

Do free spirits even know their own true name? By this
do F.S. simply react to the mystical construct that is

it's true name, or do they know it themseleves?

IMHO, any attempt to do so would automatically break the spell, or *at the
very least* grant another resistance test, as if the caster ordered a human
subject to commit suicide. A free spirit's entire SURVIVAL is tied up in its
True Name, even magic can't pry it from them easily.
