Send the following message to listserv@********.itribe.net

set shadowrn repro

For a list of the other nifty commands send the following message to the
same address

info refcard

And, while you're at it :) follow the URL in my .sig and read the ShadowRN
FAQ.

Well, if you own 2nd ed then you have everything you need to convert
1st edition adventures (the conversion rules are near the back of 2nd
ed). And, while 3rd edition works a bit differently, it uses the same
numbers as 2nd ed.

Hope that helped, and welcome to ShadowRN :)

I had similar experience with NAN vol 2 a while back going to SR2. E-mail me
directly and I may be able to help.

That's the default nature of the list. There's a command that I never
remember that will cause the server to include you in your own postings;
GridSec can clue you in.

Hmm...honestly, wing it. It'll take a bit of work to adjust SR1 damage
codes to SR2&3 codes, but that's fairly easy; if the book lists a Predator
heavy pistol, substitute the code in the adventure (NAN1, right?) with the
Predator heavy pistol code from SR3.

That's probably the hard part. Everything else, wing it or when in doubt,
refer to SR3 for what it's ruling is.

HEY MIKE!! Don't you have a story about stupid shadowrunners regarding
this adventure? I seem to recall something about Dave going postal against
all odds, nearly starting WWIII and all the PCs (except mine, who, like I,
was on vacation) had to have plastic surgery. Refresh my memory!

All you really have to do is change the weapon damages and dice pools.
(And make any changes appropriate to your team - beefing them up, toning
them down etc.) I was doing the same thing with the adventure from NAN
1, but I was using SRII rules, so I had to decide on threat ratings for
them too. (Gave the team an easy fight, nearly pasted them once, but I
think I'm getting the hang of it.)

That brings me to another problem. I actually had my bag stolen last
week. It had my copy of NAN 1 in it - plus my brand new BBB3 which I'd
bought the day before! Anyway, I've replaced that, but I haven't been
able to find another copy of NAN 1 for some STRANGE reason ( :) ) and
I'm in the middle of running it. Anyone know of any places in Sydney,
Australia that might have a copy floating around somewhere? I mean,
there has to be SOME copies still out there. I only bought mine a year
or two ago.

As was mentioned the other day, send the command "Set shadowrn repro" to
listserv@********.itribe.net. You'll get your own messages sent back to
you that way; if you only want an acknowledgement of your posts, send "set
shadowrun ack" instead.

Makes perfect sense. As a matter of fact, nothing much of importance
changed between editions. The major one is decking -- in at least one of
the NAN adventures is a major decking sequence (which totally didn't work
the time I ran it with SRII decking rules) so you'll have to change that
over to VR 2.0/SR2. This will probably be the most work.

The only other things you really need to keep in mind are altered dice
pools and weapon damages, but those are easy enough: just calculate the
NPCs' dice pools per SR3 rules and disregard whatever dice pools are
printed in the book, while for weapons you just look up the relevant
weapon in SRII or SR3 when you need it.
