C'mon Gurth, say it ain't so. One of my missions in life is to show you
the light and convert you to a by-the-book gamer. Don't you realize that
deviating from the rules-as-written leads to The Dark Side :) Terry

But Terry, you have to remember that Gurth is A Shadowrun Guru, this
equates him to a Japanese Sensei, or if you want to get really silly, a
Jedi Knight... He can't become part of the Dark Side, he already opposes
it... If only through the simple action of imagination and creativity.

So, Gurth, are you a Sith Lord?

You go and stick to your little furry bug eyed friends OK... <grin>
You.... Ewok lover <shudder> :)

It is obvious that Gurth can't possibly be anything from the dark side,
he has no *obvious* munchkin qualities :) Aside from which, being a
creative rather than destructive person he must therefore, live in the
light :) <smirk>

What have I been telling you about this: *not* a sensei... More like a
'60s fruitcake without the hair, beard, and beads... :)

What, by choosing a name that doesn't appear in a FASA sourcebook?

I had expected to hear from you, yes... :) To be precise, I see rules as
guidelines but I apply most of them BTB -- this has something to do with
a good memory for these things, as well as with liking the SR rules
system.

But I'll *never* give in to total submission to sticking to the rules :)

Only aspiring to be... I still have a lot to learn in that respect (plus I
have to go to a tailor to get the cool suit made).

And Pete Sims replied to that:

When I actually get to play, I tend more toward the loonie side, true...

If it's any help, from time to time I've thought of buying the Star Wars
RPG, and one thing that first put me off was when I found out you were
supposed to play a light side character... I mean, stormtroopers seem a
lot cooler to me :) Still, I guess I'll go get that revised edition soon
after all...

I agree with Gurth, but what hope have we got of converting Terry ?
not a lot i suspect, but it did take him a while to get involved.

That's not a nice thing to say about a shadowrunner.

Better to choose Sindarin for death (gurthu-) than use something someone else
used:)

Shadowrunner???? Oh dear, not any longer I'm afraid... I've had people
stationed outside Gurth's place for some months now, he *is* aware of
them, but he is no longer a shadowrunner... merely a teacher. A sort of
Guru, without beard, hair or beads... more like a Sensei really <grin>

Get the Imperial sourcebooks... you can play stormtroopers (well, not the
clones), and all that. Dedicated in the fight to maintain order and the
just rule of law against the criminal Rebels spawning anarchy and causing
unrest throughout the galaxy.

Sorry, you still can't play a Lord of the Sith.

(Actually, I found bounty hunters have the most fun...)
