The adventure I'm thinking of running this weekend is the one in
NAN vol. one, one of my favorite adventures. I've run the thing like
three times now, but that was a couple years ago when 2nd ed. had yet to
come out. has anyone worked on converting it? Did you run into any
problems/quandries/areas that needed upgrading? Off the top of my head I
think the only thing I'll really have to screw with is the Matrix stuff to
bring it up to VR2.0 standards. Oh well, might as well actually get
around to doing my russian homework now (seems my successes on Special
Skill:Avoid Homework(8) ust ran out :) ).

Peace...

Do you mean "The Peacemaker" ?
If so, you have a little to change, mainly weapons characteristic.
My players dislike this adventure because of its 'kill factor' - but IMHO
it's not so deadly as they see it...
Goodluck in GMing this stuff!

Don't forget the spirits and the decking sequence. That last one is a bit
more difficult, though perhaps somebody has Stephen Eley's VR1 -> VR2
conversions saved anywhere? (I'm not certain I still have them.)

I liked it, except for the decking bit. Two high-powered deckers slinging
Attack utilities at each other's Hardening takes like ten turns to
inflict a Light wound (under VR1 rules, that is), so this got dull really
quickly. Still, with VR2 rules it might go a bit differently.

Could you post them or mail them to me? It is looking like I will have to
run the adventure this weekend, and since the decking portion will
probably take the most time to convert, having ready-made guidelines would
help speed the conversion process up immensely...

Thanks!

Send them to Paolo, so he can include them into his archive.

Why, can't the owner put them up in his own archive and have Paolo's
point to the originals?

That does two things that are nice:

1) Allows the owner to update or upgrade information immediately
instead of going through Paolo to get something changed.
2) Takes advangate of the nature of the WWW by actually distributing
the resources.

What you're suggesting is reminiscent of the old 'mainframe mentality'
days, where everything is kept in one place.

I'd rather have my MPCP fried by a Fireball from a Free Toxic Queen

What do you mean? I'm a GM!!

Can a flesh-form be attacked by a Vampire? What happens if the vampire
kills the flesh-form by draining its Essence?

Vampiric Flesh-forms? Egads!!

It can get worse. Trust me. *evil grin*

What happens when a mundane becomes a perfect Flesh-form? The new
creature gets access to all of the old memories.

So, all of the mental Skills are included.

What if a decker were infected and became a Flesh-form?

Worse yet, an Otaku?

Perhaps *now* we see why in the Denver set it says that Otaku never
leave their enclave except to get new recruits. They know how hideous the
world is....

Well, for Paolos site i know for sure that i get a connecion every
time, which does not necessarily hold true for some of the other sites...:)

That "mentality" has its advantages. Alot of them, believe me...:-)

Irrelevent. Choose any site near on a good path, and you'll get
connectivity. I was talking about spreading out the load - the very thing
'Da Web' was meant to do.

I disbelieve. I've never enjoyed mainframes, from 3090's to vaxen to
CMS. They all suck compared to a distributed computing environment.

But then, I'm not a Luser and don't present a drag to any SA types.

Believe me.... :)
