I must say that I don't know the story behind all this, but anyone who can
get $250 for a cookie recipe is _obviously_ scamming money somewhere :)

Supposedly this lady went to the cafeteria at a Neiman-Marcus
store (very expensive clothing, I think), and asked the waitress if she
could have the recepie for their sugar cookies. The waitress agreed, but
only if the lady paid "two-fifty." Thinking that it was $2.50, she
agreed, but later saw that $250 had been charged to her credit card.
Unable to return the recepie, she set off on a campaign to give
this recepie for free to everybody on the 'net.
I've heard a number of rebuttals to this tale, the most convincing
(IMHO) being that Neiman-Marcus has been publishing a recepie book for
fifteen years or so, and the sugar cookie recepie is very different.
But the message keeps being passed around 'cause it JUST WON'T DIE!

I actually have this one saved somewhere. It was just stupid
enough that I had to save it for posterity. If you want it, I can send
it to you. Keep in mind that it's total bullshit.
