I thought to bring this up.
My friend Adam and I attended a con at Juniata this weekend.
the players for The Nexus (hi Rin!!)
and Buzz ( hi TOM !!!) (he does have more characters)
invited us to this event, since they are from the college.
Also in attendence was the player of Action Jackson ( hi Brian!!!)
(he also plays others)
Well we got all set for the game a the GM told us about the characters.
Now it just happens that one of the Characters was called NAPALM.
This brought immmediate laughter to us people there from the TALK
list we all knew Vince had a character NAPALM.
The thing was the GM has NEVER read the talk list, he came up with the
idea all by himself.
Of course there where differences in the characters, the one
I played had a Military Background ( everyone did) and he was also
a Sorcerer Adept.
I decided I had to play this character because one he
was a mage, and two because he was called NAPALM ( it was the
irony Vince).
It was very interesting playing him. I got my idea for
him after looking at his stats.
Magic 5 ( beta cyberware mag 3, softlink and and smartlink)
Willpower 5
sorcerery, spellcasting 7
Spell locks on increase init and combat sense
but more importantly
Power focus 3
Manipulation focus 3
Specific spell focus ( flamethrower) 3
and of course flame thrower 5
so oyu can guess that with a max magic pool of 10 (max into spell of 8)
I sort of still had 8 dice extra to help versus drain.
So incomes the idea - A neurotic pyromaniac Sorcerer adept
who does the cigaret thing like Dennis Leary, and lights
it with a lighter and FLamethrower spell.
my favorite part of the night - just got done with most of the combat.
things have settled down. I light a Smoke. next action
so GM is there anything left that hasn't been burnt by me or
blown to bits? Character - " I want to burn something" puff " I
know
!!!" lance of fire to the only helicopter pad left. "ahhhhh"
Needless to say, neurotic Dennis Leary pyromaniacs are fun to play.
I like him so much I beg the GM to let me keep the character ( he's
never had anyone ask him to keep a character, then 3-4 of us did)
