Actually, there is no reason why fire protection system *would*
be controlled by computer. In fact, they probably would *not* be
controlled by computer, simply due to the complexities involved and the
lack of failsafes. Fire suppression systems today are individually
triggered, one head as necessary. Not all at once. (well, there are
what are called "deluge" systems that basically just drench an entire
area, but these are generally for more specialized fire hazards). Just
my pyromaniacal $0.02.
