What are/were the sources for critters in the previous editions of
Shadowrun? The little sourcepad provided with the gamemaster screen is
fine and all, but severely lacking any kind of extra info that a GM may
want to use (for location, hooks, etc). If someone can give me a list of
what critters sources were previously published I can start searching
eBay and such.

Some of them were published in the main rulebook (1st and 2nd editions)
while the rest were in Paranormal Animals of North America and Paranormal
Animals of Europe.

Paranormal Animals of North America, and Paranormal
Animals of Europe. The SR1 and SR2 rulebooks also
listed "habitat" for each critter, as well as some
biological/ ecological info from the perspective of a
sixth world biologist - not really game stats, mostly
for setting mood.

PAoNA is for SR1.

PAoE is for 2nd Edition, and also has a list of critters statistics for PAoNA.

"Predator & Prey" is a SR2 adventure collection, which uses critters in many
different ways.
