Good 'ol Pooh bear :) From right here in Winnipeg. Infinetly better then
dull old Sesame Street. :)

And to keep this SR-related...

What does everybody think about things like Pooh bear and *covers head*
Barney in shadowrun? Have they survived, have they been forgotten, or have
they been perverted into corp ad machines?

HOW DARE YOU MENTION THE NAME OF THE FOUL PURPLE DINOSAUR IN MY PRESENCE!!! Sorry, I
just go into a murderous rage whenever I hear the name of that demon-damned
creature. But anyway, back to your topic, no I don't think they've survived except
as antique collectibles. I'm sure the corps have much more effective creations upon
which to plague humanity.

In Italy for thirty years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder,
bloodshed - they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In
Switzerland they had brotherly
love, five hundred years of democracy and peace, and what did they produce? The
cuckoo clock!

That I am replying to this shows just how frustrating the signal to noise
ratio is getting, and me a veteran OTer already. Noddy from so many years
ago it's politically incorrect is still going strong. Peter Pan is around
long after the author. Winnie the Pooh is also massively old, Disney be
damned for their 'ownership' of both. There are more, mostly British. I'm
sure Winnie will be around in another 61 years. As for Barney, well I don't
remember ever seeing an episode but from its hype it seems to be so much
fluff and plagiarism, so maybe not. I still always think of Barney Rubble
when I hear the name, but Barney Gumble also seems much more popular.
BTW, my spell checker tried to tell me Disney should be spelt Dissent, and
maybe it's right.
