Actually cybered animals do exist in shadowrun.

They have been mentioned once or twice, I from what I remember they are really
nasty. As a GM, I would probably use them once or twice for some of the nastier
corps.

In fact, I was on a run once (at a con) where we met up with some cyber mutts.
My character was rather distraut that he had to kill the animals. People he can
handle killing, but killing animals he really doesn't like.
