Well I haven't looked at it in a while but here's my year old post on
cyberarmor (it came out about last november)

well here the first thing on my new cyber extra tech christmas
wish list

this stuff here is armor ( ala iron-man) (have fun Doctor Doom!!!!)

PLEASE NONE OF THOSE STUPID MUNCHKIN FLAMES
who said the characters would use it!!!!
really though its an idea and a plausible one
(yes I know thats what all munchkins claim)

===============================================================================

cyber armor is based on the concept that we have already do the hard
part of bonding man to metal
compared to this making mechanical armor that reacts well with a human
being is a sinch

first of all there are two ways to use this armor
and they both need a data jack

the first way is to use a data jack
using this way you have to think about what you are doing
(ie you think about what your doing )

in game terms this use of the armor somewhat like heavy armor (SRII)
its 1 point from your combat pool per 2 points of armor (ball)
above the users quickness round up
ie quickness 4 ball 8 = -2
3 -3
wired reflexes are uneffected accept as noted next

-2 initiative (thats not dice) (you go to think more)

the second and best way is to Rigg into the armor
under this way it doesn't take a complex action to move
you're just like normal

the rigger gets his rig bonus for initiative and reaction
ie +2 reaction +1d6 init per level

he also gets +1 combat pool per level rig
(you can't use your control pool for anything though)

basically what happens is this
normally the vehicle bcomes your body but its different than
your normal one
with this you are the armor and it you
just like if you had the cyber

BASICS
ballistic 8
impact 6
this includes helmet (unless you play a different way
than mine) (ie heavy armor already includes helmet)
Strength +4
sorry but i haven't seen any troll sized armor yet
(and those bumps make it had to fit anyway)
gyro compensation +6
on if you connect the gun up to it (ie no the arm is
not the compensator)

helmet (well boys time to drool)

VISION
electronic mag x10 ( like in street sam under armor)
(also acts like cyber elec mag eyes 3)
lowlight
thermographic
ultrasound (like the sight)
smart gun link (+1 for data jack, full bonus (+2) rigged)
rangefinder
flare compensation

with the data jack its like having smart goggles
with the rigg you have the cyber

other senses only effective with rigging
HEARING
hearing amplification
damper
soundfilter 3
high frequency
low frequency

Other
chemical analyzer level 3
gas spectronometer level 3
olafactory booster

Communication
commlink IV (rigg lets you use more than one channel)

Information
Heads up display 200mp
Datasoft link (rig only)

Headware Datajack level 4 (no lagg folks)
one cable
Targeting computer level 1
(rig only)
i sugjest one level for each sense addition
(mag 3 only gives one level)(smart link isn't a sense)
total 11 plus 2 for orientation plus one for computer
ie 14 levels

orientation system

externals
covered data jack level 4
covered skill soft link 3 (only knowledge skills)

these can only be uncover by internal command
(or a crowbar which will hurt them)

Internals
medikit (yes boys and girls you suit is also nurse nightengale

full enviromental seal (only as long as bullets don't breach it

1/2 hour oxygen supply

magnetic boots (space travel)

externals
extendable spurs (cyber spur)
built in heavy pistol (cyber gun)
built in shock gloves

Mk VII bagel and crossant toaster
(i wanted to see if you were still paying attention)

Variants
Mk II stealth armor

ballistic 6
impact 4
strength +2

6 imaging scanners (+6 target number)

this uses Ruthenium Polymers (shadowtech pg 94)

power supply
well when someone tells me how cyber arms and legs get power i'll
tell you where it gets its power

suggested
stealth 45 minutes in stealth mode for scanners (seperate
supply)

each armor would probably have a power supply of
about 3 hours

what are your thoughts on this

what are your thoughts on how cyber is powered

COST xxxxxxxxxx CLASSIFIED
(ie you got to earn it and have an insane DM)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well its looks like it needs reworking
maybe i'll get around to it someday. But it does give you another thing
to look at when making your own Ideas

Im glad you posted this, I didnt want to have to sit down and write out all
the details myself :)

Something that I hadnt thought of, but makes sense now that I see it, was the
Tactical Computer put on board. Cant see any reason why a rigged character
couldnt take addvantage of a low level Tac Comp that is outside of his/her
body. Definitely something to include (although it skyrockets the price of
the armor, it makes it very very deadly.)

Interesting that you assumed 'standard' armor rather than the more effective
and realistic vehicle armor. Youve got something that can lug around more
wieght, why not add a bunch of armor to it?

Also, 'adding' strength is a bit hard to visualize. Replacing strength is
what happens in all the cases I can think of. (Like Cp2020's linear frames,
they provide a variable precentage of the force neccesary, up to there
maximum, with the user providing the rest so that he/she can judge how much
they are lifting.)

The ruthium fibers were another good idea I missed.

On cost, my suits cost was a little low if you get the tac comp. Heck, it was
a little low anyway, but I wanted people to have some reason to use it! :)

Thanks for the info, it will be very useful in my own campaign :)

Could I get someone to mail a copy of this to me? My system had a
corrupted file system and everything that I saved since thursday night,
including this post, have been lost. Thanks
