I didn't follow the hole discussion of this cybercops and cybermilitary
stuff. Sorry if i repeating somebodys opinion, but as far as i saw it
the hole discusion was about
- 1 cybergrunt will stomp out 10 noncyber grubnts
- cyberware is too expensive
- attached gear`ll get lost
...
But nobody has mentioned that they are people in whom the cyberware is
implanted, not gear. They maybee NPC but i'm trying to have a social
background for my NPC. They are not 'just evil' - waiting to get
slaughtered by the PC or giving them a hard time.
Did you think about what i means for the people to get replaced with cyber-
ware. You do replace organic stuff with metall. And there is a trauma.
Essence is for gameabalancing shure, but i think there is also a `loss
of humanity' in what terms you may put it (essence, humanity, ... ).
I (myself not any of my character) considered to become cop, (no twaping,
i just considered, i am no cop) but skipped it for varios reasons. I would
(in 2050) skipp the idea, cause of the cyberware. I wouldn't like the idea
of becoming a machine. I would take a datajack but not (much) more.
I think that in SR (the world) cyberware isn't that spread as it is in
Cyberpunk 2020.So most people are 'afraid' to get cyberware and not
every cop or infantrist want it.
Be aware that most sentence start with I.....
so thats my personal opinion.
comment to me or on this line
