I don't remember this ... Was it before my time? Closest thing I remember
is the joyboy/girl thing ... Wasn't that an adept? Or is that what you
are looking for? (I don't have the post but I might have an idea where to
find and go archive diving after finals [IOW, after Thursday].)

Closest thing I remember is the joyboy/girl thing ...

Naah...you're before my time, Al. :) The joytoy thing
was it exactly. I wrote up the powers that an adept
joytoy would have and then someone responded with the
cyber version.

If you have an idea of where it might be, I could have
a look myself. I just need a basic idea so I don't
have to search through the last year and a half. :)

Playing a Stripper: You are not a prostitute, although you may have been

become one in the future. Sex is your primary tool and weapon. You take

money. While you are being oggled they forget that you can hear and have a
brain behind that pretty
face and you learn their dirty little secrets. With the help of a well
placed chummer you can get all
kinds of incriminating dirt on that pervert in the corp suit.

This character is best for a thinking roleplayer. She has potential to grow
into any kind of character
you'd like. She has great social interaction skills, but her physical
attributes could well lend
themselves to her becoming a warrior character.

"Dance" is a special skill linked to Quickness. The specialties of this
skill are forms or styles of dance
(i.e. jazz, ballet, erotic, scottish country dance, etc.). In general Dance
is not just being able to
perform but also choreography of dance routines.

One note: GET YOUR MINDS OUT OF THE SEWER AND UP HERE IN THE GUTTER
WITH THE REST OF US! Do not assume that because another player chooses to
play a Stripper
means your character can purchase her favors, and if you try, I hope she
charges you an arm and a
leg...literally. Everything in this character's inventory can be found in
the Shadowrun, Third Edition
rule book.

Mind you this is IIRC, but ...
Before I went on vacation last summer, I joked about starting a sexual
cyberware thread.
The year before that, I started one and left a few days into it. IIRC,
your joytoy thing was right about the same time if not a related thread.
Check around July 20th 1998.

If you find the posts (the cyber and adept version) send whichever ones
you find my way. ;)

Not exactly, NightLife.

As Al (D. Ghost) mentioned, I started a thread
sometime last year (I think) by talking about the
powers an adept joytoy might take. Someone else listed
the cyber and bioware that a cybered version would
likely have. I'm after that list of cyber and bioware.

Unless, of course, anyone would care to stretch their
minds and create their own list of ideal toys for the
neighbourhood cyberhooker?

Al and anyone else who's going to suggest I look
through the archives...

I don't know if it's just me, but I can only access
the archives up to early '99. Before that I just get a

I'm still looking for the list of "ideal" cyberware
for a prostitute that someone suggested (bouncing off
my list of "ideal" adept powers for a prostitute). Can
anyone help? Or would anyone be interested in drawing
up their own list?

Man, I'll tell you about one prostitute I met once. I was in the Valley
(Brisbane equivalent of King's Cross, trashy, crime ridden locale for
non-Australians) after a heavy metal concert there, just sitting on the
steps, when this girl sits beside me. I did a double take because she was
the ultimate street hooker, messed up, dirty hair, too much makeup, actual
torn fishnet stockings barely held up, obviously extremely strung out on
something. Not the type of girl I could imagine anyone with decent eyesight
paying for. She said loudly "What are you staring at?" so I looked away,
then she said "Sorry. You want some?" I just smiled and got the hell out of
there (alone, thank you very much). Forget the Julia Roberts thing, they
just aren't like that.

Then again, that type of woman wouldn't spend her valuable heroin money on
cyberware. The 'escort' on the other hand, I have seen a few around my
little tourist town that leave little doubt as to their occupation,
especially when on the arm of a weedy ugly man. They already have plenty of
implants, and I think the trend would continue.
