In a related question, is there any work or information done on the
effect of cyberware/bioware on a metahuman who becomes infected with
HMHVV? What about installation of cyberware/bioware in a metahuman
already infected with HMHVV?

Thanks

In a nutshell, you get to keep the cyberware you had before being
infected, but Regeneration causes your body to reject anything that's
installed afterward.

Well, way back in 2nd edition, one of the characters in my game
contracted HMVV. He was bitten by an infected devil rat while
travelling through Amazonia. Anyway, I described to him how all of his
implants started to itch as his newly invigorated immune system
started to try and "heal" the damage to his body. At the same time I
slowly started to apply the side effects of HMVV to the character.

The character eventually went on a regimen of custom immune system
suppressants while his body adapted to the HMVV and the cyberware. It
was a lot of fun to roleplay, as the character had no clue what was
going on for weeks, and was stuck out in the wilderness with an
unknown disease and his cyberware starting to go on the fritz.
