rough rule is that for every two points of cyber that a player has,
they receive a +/-1 to all social tests. Now, there are, of course,
exceptions. My question relates to two pieces of cyber:
A character has Wired Reflexes 3 with a Stepped Reflex Trigger. The
modifier is (IIRC) +/-3. Now, if the character turns the Wired
Reflexes down to 0, do they still have the modifier?
Along similar lines, does a VCR 3 have the same penalty (+/-3)? Would
it be a matter of testing to see if the NPCs notice the ports, and if
so the modifier applies, or would it be applicable because the
character is less "in tune" with the meat puppets around her?
As an addendum, would it be appropriate to develop a skillset to use
to reduce / improve the target number? Maybe a psychology or sociology
concentration (Meatshield Social Interaction) or some sort of
skillwire chip (Luddite Empathy Version 2.4))? Possibly use the skill
rating in d6's against a target number of 4, with every two successes
either reducing or increasing the modifier. Modify the target number
by (NPC Intelligence - Player Charisma)?
