I have been looking through cybertech and while there is alot of neat
stuff, I am kind of confused about the rules about limb enhancement. It
seems that the rules are designed to make it difficult for someone to
advance past the natural body strenth, quickness, etc. While this makes
alot of since when one is only using one or two cyberlimbs, it makes alot
less sence when someone goes for the whole cyberzombie-type thing. When
one only has one limb, to increase the strength would require additional
cyberimplants to reinforce the juncture between flesh and chrome. A cyber
torso should totatly eliminate the need for this, unless there are some
reasons that I am not thinking of. As it seems right now, one could get
alot stronger and faster, with less body alterations, through the use of
bioware like muscle aug, adrenian pump, and superthroid. While I
appreciate the advantages that a full cyborg has over a bioware maniac, it
seems a bit strange that the cyborg is weaker and slower. After all
"At a more basic level, cybernetic components, by their nature and
design, can be packed with more performance-boosting hardware than
biological systems can afford.

Tis true. Esp according to the rules in Cybertechnology. To get a decent
strength and quickness boost it's much (much) cheaper, and body
index/essence friendly to go for Muscle Augmentation instead of cyberlimbs

They just aren't worth it, which is a shame since they are the staple of
cyberpunk ... i mean, what looks cooler; a guy with _slightly_ pumped
muscles (as IMO musc.aug. wouldn't be too noticeable) or a guy with a
chromed cyberarm with all the mods?
