I read that story, and always wondered where it came from. Is it the head piece
for an adventure? If so, which one?

For a very long time it simply seemed to be hints that made no sense
at all. Reading it with what i know now its about magic in space,
notes Knight has some very powerful magicians.
The guy knew the bug was no 'avatar', of some totem or passion from
the way he uses the word.
He also had played about with hearts darker than the bugs, must be
the enemy.
He also has wielded power amongst the stars, now where does NASA go.

It has nothing to do with any specific adventure i know of but i've
not read all of them, that could change as this data seems to be
affecting campain 2057 or the truth behind the Ares situation is
anyway.

Knight's first name is Damien (with an 'e') not Damian, though it is spelled
incorrectly in a few of the sourcebooks. There is a lot of info, mostly
suggestive, about him in Corporate Shadowfiles.

To list just a few...
He's CEO of Ares, controlling 22% of the stock, I think.
He acquired his stock in the (in)famous nanosecond buyout.
He's close friends with Kyle Haeffner, current president of UCAS.
He may have been David Gavilan in the past, head of Echo Mirage--the team
which "defeated" the Crash of '29 virus.
He knew about the chicago situation and had a hand in the decision to
detonate the tac nuke. see Tom Dowd's novel Burning Bright
He played chess with Dunkelzahn before the assassination. (implied in The
Big D's will)

I think it's safe to say that Knight is going to show up in more SR books.
He's a prominent character in my novel Clockwork Asylum, Book 2 of the
Dragon Heart Saga trilogy which will be coming out later this year, and I
think he figures into Target: UCAS an upcoming sourcebook by Steve Kenson.

Hope this helps.

I believe a HELL YES! is in order.

Ancient cultures believed that names held great power, personal
names more so and they were guarded very closely. To protect themselves,
they answered to another name, because if another discovered their real
name, it could be used against them.
History repeats itself.

Didn't he get Dunkelzahn's stock in Ares as well? (From Gavilan Ventures)

COOL!! I can't wait. Your last novel was excellent, and this series sounds
really cool.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Dunkelzahn leave him Gavilan

Well, not exactly.

Dunkelzahn willed Gavilan Ventures and its shares of Ares to Nadja Daviar.
Knight somehow got Daviar to give him control of these shares. How could he
have done that? Good question. I guess you'll have to read my book to find
out. The details are there.

There also may or may not be some clues in Target: UCAS. I really don't know.

The bottom line is, however, that within a few weeks of Dunkelzahn's death,
Knight controls more Ares stock than anyone else (by a long shot), has a
close friend as president of the UCAS, and still comes out smelling like a rose.

Is something rotten in the state of Denmark?

Of course! That doesn't mean we won't still love him. B>]#

Now is there any good Oliver Stone takes on Dunkie's "Go Bang!" ? I just
love an overly complicated conspiracy plot.

Naw...paint dries fairly quick, but OTOH, soak a ream of paper in water
and you've got DAYS of exciting fun. Although I personally enjoy
watching the _asphalt_ grow.

It's an off day:) It'll change, just wait till the thread dies (which
will be an inevitably loooooong time, as the interesting Sr threads die
quicly, compared to the totally off-topic ones which never die:)
