OK so the graphic didn't translate well over the mail. The group was around
A in the chair and A was at the center of the group. Sorry for the letters
down the left side.

Actually, it looked more like this....

This time I used full stops instead of spaces. It looks like yours filters
out blanks. X is the spell caster targetting C with a Fireball. A is
unaffected because X can't see him to synchronise auras.
