Someone said that Death Touch talked about a 2m aura. Well, not that
I could find. Looking in my Grimoire (2nd ed), all the Death Touch
description says is "A particularly lethal combat spell that requires
the casting magician to touch the target. The spell causes Physical
damage to a single target." (pg 126) The only place I could find
that sounded like what you were talking about was on pg. 117, under
Range: No Range/Touch Required: "The magician must "touch" the target
in order to affect it. [Not physical], but refers to aural contact.
The casting magician must move his or her own aura into contact with
the aura of the target. [Difficult to defend against this spell],
because the magician need not actually touch the target, but simply get
close. To make aural contact, resolve a melee combat test, but modify
the attacker's target number by -1 because he does not have to actually
hit the target."

It doesn't state a 2m radius. All it says is that the mage must "get
close". I would say that this is pretty close, since a melee combat
test is required.

As for the Task pool, people have stated the part from Shadowtech about
the encephalon, so I won't post it. (This post is long enough already.)
I'll just say that I've played that it's used for the tech, knowledge,
and B/R skills. Might be interesting if it could be used for any task;
that would make a good argument for getting a level two or more encephalon
or a cereb. booster. Hey, I wouldn't mind an extra die to use in my
firearms test. That's one less I have to pull from my combat pool,
which can then be used for defense. I can see how this could make the
game deadlier.

That's about it for me, I think. Till later. :)

PS: Tom Craig, are you the same T. C. (aka Beefguy) who went to
Juniata College? Just wondering. :)

No, Jon, I'm just the same crazy person who was Vice President of the Juniata
Area Gamer's Guild. Yes, I am!
