Ok, I admit thgat on its surface, the death of Bixby was not SR related.
But the reason I posted it, and have posted these announcements before
(the deaths of Price, Fillini [sp?] and Phoenix, Koenig's heart attack,
etc) is because these are the cultural media icons that impact so very
much on what we see in the world.

When a famous actor or director, espicially one related to
SciFi/Fantasy/Horror genres of filmmaking pass away, it IS a tremendous
impact to the way we as viewers view their works.

I wasn't necessarily tring to facilitate discussion. This was just a
general announcement of the passing of someone many people our age will
recognize (assuming an age group here averaging in the 18-25 group).

These are the people that shape and mold how we see the world and consume
entertainment. Their deaths may not be necessarily SR related, but as
products of a media driven society, these people have shaped us, and that
is inescappable.

Now, if you wanna bitch, bitch to me. But when great men and women pass
away, I feel it is important enough to take 10 lines and share.

'nuff said.
