Deckers can be kinda of dificult to integrate into a game, but can be
rewarding to play. It definately takes a gm with a very good grasp of
the matrix rules and operations, and whose good a juggling players to
keep everyone active [the new Shadowrun Companion addresses this in more
detail].

A VERY EXCELLENT module, exceptionally well designed to integrate
deckers into the thick of the action is IMAGO [from the guys who brought
you the London Sourcebook].
It has one of the most solid storylines to come out of the Shadowrun
modules.

It takes place all thru Awakened Scotland.[I learned more about Scotland
than I ever suspected, preparing for this game. It's a fascinating
country] I modified the storyline somewhat to my tastes, but there's a
lot of juicy material to work with.

It involes Transys Neuronet, a rogue genius decker whose missing,
corporate killers, ancient clan feuds, and life after death. Oh, and a
mini-sourcebook on Scotland.

There's plenty of stuff for everyone else to do , also.[Magically active
characters are pretty vital]. I'd recommend it for more experienced
players, and give it a thumbs up.

I don't think so. You might still be able to pick up a copy at your
local gaming store.

In my group of 4 people there are 2 deckers. We do quite some stuff in the
matrix, but we also work with guns. It works good

O.K. there are breaks in the game, but sometimes it is good to kick back
and think about the next steps or where the thraed is taking you.

I also heard about a matrix simulator, where you can design your own
systems. With this you can keep the game going. AFAIK it is:

In my group there is a decker, too. When the game "breaks", because, hi
is in the matrix, we make plans, or summarize the story, and he bring us
the new news.

Sometimes he must roll just one, and he don't go to the matrix. (He
don't like this, but it's fast.)

There is a decker in my PBeM game. This actually works better as any
one-on-one matrix stuff can happen independantly via email and it never
interferes or bothers anyone else. As for not getting to participate
much, I often make it so the decker has to go on location for an isolated
system, or he goes along where there is no network and does back up with
a drone or two.

Yeah, he can do the 'Mission Impossible' thing, assaulting a standalone
system from the inside. That definetely gets him in the 'thick' of
things. Deckers don't have to be weak, feeble geeks.

Every character other than the Sammies and Mercs, according to my GM.
The only reason magicians can do anything is because they get to "cheat". As
far as we, deckers and riggers, are concerned, well we're just there for
atmosphere. (Atmo.= Cannonfodder). This may sound harsh, but we're slowly
changing his mind, or at least trying.
