Some Dracoforms have rings that mimic the Shapeshifting abilities.

Has anyone ever stopped to consider the obvious? Dragons are
generally spell-casters of arbitrarily high initiate grade. Shapechange
is a spell, and not a very difficult one for someone of who's been alive
for 10,000 years.

Yes, but in de books de rings are essentially spell locks, because dracos
don't worry about spells grounding out through dem. Only anuder draco or a
high level initiate can cast a high enough spell force to cause severe damage
to the draco in question. Plus the spell lock can be masked.

Herr Falk,
I do believe that SSCII was the second edition version of SSC. At least that
is what it was touted as when it was published about a year or so ago. There
might be an ACTUAL SSCII in the works, but I personally have no idea.

Yes, let's bring back the magic items, please. I spent hours laughing
and laughing, each time our GM, oops DM started rolling for magic
items on his neat tables.
bye,
Stefan
