Quickly? It was supposed to be out two months ago.

Is the new Denver module worth buying? Also are there any pre-made
adventures by FASA out there that would be good for a beginner GM (that's
me) and low-level characters?
Thanks,

I don't know about the Denver set- there's still too much to do in Seattle as
far as I'm concerned. A good module for starting players is Dreamchipper.

Bah, DNA/DOA is better. If you're really satannic, you could run them on
Mercurial, or Missing Blood. <BIG EVIL GRIN>

Missing Blood for starter players? No way.

Denver is pretty interesting, but I don't know why they _had_ to
put it in a boxed set...except for the maps and cards, everything
would've fit just fine into another book.
IMHO, they'd have been better advised to put the Germany info in a
box, along with more detail on the culture and technology, simply because
(to most of us Americans, Doctor Doom of course excepted) Germany is much
more foreign (no pun) than Denver.
My guess is that FASA wanted to see how a boxed set would do,
since there aren't any other Shadowrun boxes.

Yeah! Do it with starting characters, so when they get killed the players
won't be so attached to them. I mean come on, unless you hold some stuff
back, most runners will end up being geeked halfway through the run.

Hah. I'm going to be running my players through a very modified version
of Missing Blood in the Tir some time soon.. It will hurt. A lot.

BTW, what do you people think about this: If you are possessed by a
spirit, who has control? I contend that the spirit controls you, and you
have no more input into the character's actions. My GM contends that
you can have control as long as you willingly accept the spirit. This is
painful as I see our game going ULTRA-munchkin.. Sigh, our most recent
encounter was (still is actually) with 3 people in powered armor, which
is doubling as a rating 8 (I think) power focus, who have been possessed
by Force 21 Storm Spirits... Arg. 5d6 initiative, Spells, Rating 4
tactical computer in the armor, the works. Oh well.

From what I got in Missing Blood, it would seem that voluntary meshings
don't matter. It's just from voluntary meshings you can get soldiers,
instead of workers. Either way, your soul is consumed(Unless you can roll
6+ successes against the queen when you are captured. Read that. CONSUMED.

I think he might have been referring to the free spirit power of possesion,
rather than the insect spirit host domination. If he was, then I say that no
matter how the spirit gains possesion, the spirit and only the spirit is in
control. The person who's body has been highjacked is either out to it for
that period of time, or just along for the ride (I can't remember which
just now). I also have a suspicion that something in the Grimything backs me
up, but I could be imagining it... :-)
