Which reminds me of a question I've wanted to ask for a while but
forgot:

Somebody on this list said that a computer-game version of SR (Called
Shadowrun: Assassin) was to be released around christmas.

Does anyone have a resonable idea, how they're going to use dice
pools and karma pool in the game? Obviously they cannot let the
player decide every time in a combat phase how he will use his combat
pool dice, since it would be way too slow for a computer game. But
maybe use threat ratings like npcs? And what about karma pool? IMHO
they cannot just ignore these pools, since they are important factors
in downgrading the lethality in SR.

I don't think they will take this into account much if at all. AFAIK it's
a computer game set in the RPG world, not a version of the RPG mechanics
built into a computer game.

Well, in the Sega game, it just notes that your Quickness, Intelligence, and
Willpower aid in combat without getting too specific. And yes, they do aid
substantially in combat.
