No I didn't - it was a x-mas present :)

If you want to play in Germany you should buy it, cause it covers with
344 pages the entire ADL. And I don't think that you need DidS 1.

Will the Germanically Challenged among us be able to enjoy

Not the entire book, no. Germany will be covered in Shadows of Europe.

In a word, No.

The place books, particularly germany, did not sell well enough to warrant the book being
translated and printed in English.

I would really like a Shadowrun atlas. It would not need a lot of detailed
info about any one locale. It would be nice, however, to see some global
continuity introduced. Basically, bust out a Rand-McNally (or other) atlas,
and walk through updating for the Awakened World. Geo-political boundries,
alliances, dominant languages/currencies, socio-economic structure
(briefly), etc. The sourcebooks are nice, and I buy way more of them than I
can really afford, but they do not reference each other well. (except they
all used to reference Seattle for some reason :> ) It would be nice to
know the primary languages spoken, the import/export flow, and the prominent
goverment structure of countries around the globe...with reference to one
another. Right now, it makes no difference when travelling, whether you are
flying to Japan or England...until you get there. Not realistic. The UCAS
government might have very different relations with those two countries. It
might make much more sense to drive into the CAS, then fly to another
country, if relations were better. The Denver Boxed Set of Confusion might
finally have a useful place. A true global hub. :)
An Atlas of the Awakened World, referencing other sourcebooks for detail, is
something I would definately buy. Just think, it doubles as a handy
catelogue of area sourcebooks. (for marketing-minded individuals)
As an alternative, this would be a great web sight. Hmmm...
