AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! *Gurth runs around screaming in panic
before remembering to hide under his stairs. After calming down and
confirming that it is still safe to go back to his computer, he (very
carefully and while constantly looking around for any signs of flaming
emails) types the following...*

For your own and everyone else's continued sanity and health, please do
NOT bring up the topic known as "grounding through quickened spells"
without a _very_ good reason and thoroughly thinking about what you are
doing. Statements such as "you can ground through a quickened spell" have
lead to flame wars too many times in the past for us old-timers (or should
that be "officers" now?) not to give this friendly warning about the
terrible dangers that can be unleashed by the mere mention of the term.

Additionally, there has been a ruling from FASA Mike, that although it
doesn't appear in a rulebook, is generally on this list taken to be the
definitive answer, if only to avoid further flame wars and other
unpleasantness. In short, it can be paraphrased using a recent quote from
our New Fearless Leader, Mark Imbriaco: "No."

In order to douse the flames, the following may be useful, being both wet
and something to beat out the flames with:
