That _is_ his English name :) (Someone at FASA must have spoken German,
given the fairly large number of German names in their games.)

> Where he was born or where he comes from?

He's Mountainshadow, from FASA's Earthdawn RPG. In the main ED rulebook,
Mountainshadow is said to have a "human agent" named Darktooth, which is
a fairly obvious giveaway if you ask me. If you want to know more about
him, tracking down a copy of the file dragons.pdf (released by FASA on
the internet when they closed down their ED line) and reading from page
54 might be a good idea :)

Buying the Living Room Games copy of the dragons.pdf (in book form) might be
a better idea :)

But yeah, a lot of the dragons in SR can be found in Earthdawn, though not
all of them. Lofwyr in fact, is a minor player in Earthdawn, and just
mentioned as "That Dragon up in Vasgothia." IIRC.

I'm not so sure about that. Earthdawn gave it away for free (from
their web site) when they closed down. How did Living Room Games get
the rights to sell it?

I didn't even know that existed, else I would have referred to it
instead :) I have had the PDF on my hard drive since about the day FASA
released it (which was in or around 1998, off the top of my head), but
I've never even read the thing...

I can't believe it's actually been a decade since I
nominated you for 'Shadowrun Guru' wow, time flies,
and you're still as helpful as ever!

Do you ever slow down?

Just over 10 years, actually :) http://www.xs4all.nl/~gurth/guru.txt

Yeah, whenever the list does :(

(Well, that, and I haven't been playing much SR lately, not to mention I
kept up with the game much more some years ago than I have in more
recent times, and ... :)

I assume they got the rights when they got the rights to do everything else
with the system. And since the license is still being manipulated (I believe
it was sold to Wizkids in 2002 or so, and then bought back by FASA) I would
assume there's at least someone out there with a clue as to what LRG is
publishing.

Heck, that was one of their original promises, that they'd be publishing the
Dragons Sourcebook.
