You mean the Larry Niven series? Oh, man, I loved that first book.
Didn't realize it was a series. Anyone happen to know the titles of the
books after that, and authors if they're different, so I can hunt them
down?

There's three books in the series, all of them written by Larry Niven
and Stephen Barnes.

They are:

Dreak Park
The Barsoom Project
The California Voodoo Game

R. Talsorian also brought out a Dream Park roleplaying game briefly at
one stage, with a few supplements. It has been out of print for a few
years now, so I guess the only place you'll find it will be in the 2nd
Hand bins.

There's also a LARP organization for it -- the International Fantasy
Gaming Society (IFGS). At least, Larry Niven said at DragonCon this
weekend that they were based on the book.

And from the loser gamer with no life department...

There was another game with the same theme. Morpheus. It was published
locally (Springfield, MO, I think), and I bought a copy of the game from the
author for 5 bucks.

Anyway, Dream Park was published in '92, and has Niven's (and some other
guy's) approval. Morpheus was published in '90 by a 'Rapport' games. I
haven't heard much from them (ever), but they don't appear to reference
Niven at all. (Which isn't to say that Niven specifically had the original
idea, or that Rapport 'stole' it. <shrug>). Morpheus called their rec center
a 'mind park'.
