I don't want to get into a DRM/non-DRM argument, but I do want to ask which
version FanPro will be using, if you know/can say. I understand
DriveThruRPG recently came up with a version that marks your pdf with your
name, etc as well as encrypt it (but not with Adobe's encryption). Will
FanPro be using that, or Adobe's DRM?

Frankly, there's books we'll be buying either way (Tir Taingire comes to
mind!); this is mostly curiosity.

Woot!

I did think it was ironic that SHADOWRUN might have something like DRM on
it, considering the topic of the game <g>.

Thanks,

At all. Yes ! Fanpro we'll be the first large scale editor to make the
right move about it.

Well I do have the entire collection in book, but I will still buy every
searchable pdf :-)

Good :)

Yeah. :-)

And - my opinion, not FanPro's - you get what you pay for. If you want
huge bloated PDF files that aren't searchable and have crooked pages
and generally look like shit, go download them from usenet or whatever
P2P service you prefer. If you want small files with searchable text
and bookmarks, without misaligned pages or other scanning mistakes, and
with all the latest corrections, buy the files from FanPro when they
become available.

Ouch... that's still illegal. And even if someone has his mind set about
P2P, something along the line "Madonna can afford to lose a couple CD here
and there, and if I like them I will buy them, and it's promotionnal" and
so on, we should all remember that Fanpro is not Madonna ^^

Gnagnagna :-)

I meant after integration into pdf... don't know if drivethru can do that,
but to have both version (a 96^^ahem 72 dpi, lite-weighted, and another
with 300DPI images – and little compression – heavy weighted for good
printability —is that english ?) would be nice.
