I read the book a couple of months ago and there's this drug in there that
Ryan uses called Xenoketamine that I can't seem to find any reference to in
any of the source books I have. Dose anyone know where I should be looking,
or was it something Mr.Koke pulled out of his (IMHO) gifted sleeve?

It is described as .."an anaesthetic that acts on the brain in less than a
heartbeat, causing loss of consciousness followed by wild hallucinations."

Any help would be much appreciated.

that make me a carebear?;)>

Not knowing any more than that, the Xeno in the name
would lead me to believe it is something he made up.

No Xeno, but here's some data on plain old Ketamine.

General Info

Ketamine is commercially sold as
Ketalar and is a powerful anaesthetic used in the UK mainly by
vets on farm animals, although it does
have some human medical applications. It has gained
popularity in some areas (it is
supposedly quite popular in New York clubs at the time of writing)
although its use is still comparatively
rare. The supply is thought to come mainly from opportunistic
thefts from vets premises and vehicles
as it is not, on the whole, stored on farms.

It usually comes as a liquid in its
pharmaceutical form (stolen vets supplies will probably come in
this form) although it is also found as
a white powder or pill. A 'wrap' of ketamine powder will cost
between £6 and £25 pounds with the
price varying widely with location and availability.

It can be either snorted or swallowed
as a powder and either swallowed or injected as a liquid.
Injectors usually inject into the
muscles rather than a vein.

Ketamine Effects

Ketamine is called "dissociative" in action, which means that it
feels as if the mind is "separated" from the body. Ketamine causes
hallucinations (the user may feel as if they have entered another
reality). Ketamine also works as an anaesthetic (a painkiller) and so
stops the user feeling pain, which could lead the user to cause
unwitting injury to him or herself. It also lowers the heart rate and =
so
with larger doses it can lead to oxygen starvation to the brain and
muscles. An overdose can also cause the heart to stop.

Like most anaesthetics, eating or drinking before taking
ketamine may induce vomiting. Temporary paralysis has been reported in
some users but is rare.

Ketamine Dangers

Ketamine stops the user feeling pain, which could lead the user
to cause injury to him or herself without them knowing it. It also
lowers the heart rate and so with larger doses it can lead to oxygen
starvation to the brain and muscles. An overdose can also cause the
heart to stop.
Tolerance (needing more and more to have the same effect) to
ketamine can be quickly built up if it is used regularly. It is not
known whether ketamine use can lead to psychological or physical
dependence, although both may be likely in some individuals..
Due to this drug being relatively new on the street its long
term effects are not really known. So some of the dangers from using
Ketamine may not be known for many more years.

Let's see, take that word apart here...

Xeto-Keta-mine.

Further here...

Xeto (actually, let's use Zeta here)
Keta
Amine

Amine IIRC, is the carrier group for the drug. Keta is a transgressive
chemical group. Xeto/Zeta or words meaning "first" or "at the end" (I
think,
this part I think I'm wrong with). However, the drugs description of the
effects that Ryan mentioned are helpful as well.

Something that deadens the nerves at a rate near-equal to that of the
autonomic relay impulses (the heartbeat). Amine groups are often narcotic in
nature, with "Amino" being an acid/acetate descriptive.

That help you in your searching?

<snipped the descriptives of Ketamine>

Bryan, I have to give ya credit. You went further than I was willing to. The
"Xeno" in this case means a "Change in Racial Stock". Which means
it's a
"Ketamine" that works in other species than original orientation.
